BRAZIL: New lease of life for Lava Jato?

Anti-corruption campaigners in Brazil have expressed concern over the country’s efforts in fighting graft recently, seeing signs of serious setbacks in this area [WR-20-35], and notably to the ‘Lava Jato’ (Car Wash) operation launched in 2014. However, the appointment of a new supreme court (STF) president could help give a new lease of life to anti-corruption efforts in general, and the work of the Lava Jato in particular.
