URUGUAY: FA poised to challenge Lacalle Pou with referendum
On 7 October Senator Óscar Andrade of Uruguay’s leftist opposition Frente Amplio (FA) coalition said that it is “highly likely” that the FA will support the initiative calling for the repeal of the Ley de Urgente Consideración (LUC) omnibus reform legislation to be subjected to a national referendum.
