After a spate of elections elsewhere in the Anglophone Caribbean in recent months, this week was the turn of St Vincent and the Grenadines, and Belize. They produced different outcomes. Prime Minister Dr Ralph Gonsalves won re-election in St Vincent and the Grenadines on 5 November, securing a record-breaking fifth straight term in office, with an increased majority for his left-wing Unity Labour Party (ULP).
