* Bolivia’s national statistics institute (INE) has release foreign trade figures for October, according to which exports totalled US$622m and imports totalled US$688m. Both figures are well below those recorded in the same month in 2019 (US$768m for exports and US$786m for imports), but are nonetheless the best figures recorded since the coronavirus (Covid-19) pandemic decimated international trade, up from a low of US$240m export value and US$295m import value in April, and from US$522m and US$652m, respectively, in September. However, INE noted that the most important export sectors – mining, manufacturing, and natural gas – are still yet to fully recover.
