In brief: Argentina issues new domestic bonds

* Argentina’s economy ministry has announced that it has issued Ar$76.96bn (US$844m) worth of treasury bonds on the domestic market, through the re-opening of two short-term bonds maturing in July this year, and the issuing of a new bond which matures in February 2022. This is the first of three planned domestic bond issues this month, part of the government’s ongoing strategy to finance upcoming debt repayments.
