Economic recovery in sight?

Chile’s economy is still struggling. The social protests and accompanying street riots of 2019 and the coronavirus (Covid-19) pandemic of 2020 have cast a long shadow. Short term indicators are mixed. Yet at least two things point to better times this year: the success of the country’s vaccination programme and rising international copper prices.
