* Argentine multinational group Arcor, which specialises in consumer food products, agribusiness, and packaging, has announced an investment of US$20m in a new packaging plant in Misiones province in the north-east of the country. The plant is set to complement its current production facilities in San Luis province, increasing its stock market value by 70%. The plant will have an annual production capacity of 80m packaging bags, responding to new demand in the construction, food, chemical, and seed markets. The new facilities will open in the first quarter of 2022 and, Arcor highlights, are expected to generate a positive impact on the region through new employment opportunities.
