In brief: Bolivia receives IMF assistance
* Bolivia’s central bank (BCB) has announced that Bolivia has received US$326.4m in Special Drawing Rights (SDRs) from the International Monetary Fund (IMF) as part of the IMF’s expansion of its SDR programme. The transfer was made in accordance with the IMF's largest-ever allocation of SDRs for its member countries, overall amounting to US$650bn, which aims to help countries cope with the coronavirus (Covid-19) pandemic and to improve global liquidity.
