ECUADOR: Death toll rises to 116 in country’s worst ever prison massacre
On 29 September Ecuador’s President Guillermo Lasso announced that 116 inmates had been killed in the country’s worst ever prison massacre, which took place the previous day at the Penitenciaría del Litoral prison in Guayaquil city (Guayas province).
