* Brazil’s national federation of automobile dealers (Fenabrave) has announced that vehicle sales in the first six months of the year were 3.02% lower than in the same period in 2021. The latest figures show that vehicle sales in June were also down 6.64% on May, but up 2.09% on June 2021. Broken down by vehicle type, the total number of car sales in the first six months of 2022 was 15.04% lower than in the same period in 2021; van sales were down 16.89%; lorry sales down 1.22%; and bus sales down 1.31%. Fenabrave predicted continued strong growth in the motorcycle market for the rest of the year due to the high cost of fuel and the growth of delivery services.
