BOLIVIA: Ombudsman urges gov’t clarification on ‘parallel’ coca market

On 16 August, Bolivia’s human rights ombudsman, Nadia Cruz, urged President Luis Arce’s government to clarify its position regarding a “parallel market” for coca in La Paz, as a violent dispute continues over claims that the government is illegally allowing its allies to run a second coca market in the city.
