URUGUAY: Less Argentines, more Brazilians?

The Argentine peso has plunged in value compared with Uruguay’s currency. That is a big problem for the Uruguayan tourism industry. With less middle-class Argentine holidaymakers expected to visit Uruguay’s Atlantic resorts during this coming Southern Hemisphere summer season, the authorities are doing everything they can to attract more Brazilians to fill up the empty spaces left by Argentines.
