* Mexico’s national social security institute (IMSS) has released a new report which shows that as of 30 September, it had registered a total of 21.4m jobs. According to the same report, in September 172,492 jobs were created in the formal sector, a monthly increase of 0.8%. In the last twelve months, the IMSS says it registered an increase of 814,439 jobs, equivalent to a yearly increase of 4%. The economic sectors that registered the highest annual percentage job growth were transport & communications (+7.5%), construction (+5%) and business services (+4.8%).
