“at a monthly rate of around 6%”. In the private sector, he said that formal employment is increasing at a monthly rate of 7.4%, driven by the recovery of the services sector from the impact of the coronavirus (Covid-19) pandemic. Armas added that the full resumption of in-person teaching in Peruvian schools, which only took place in March this year after two years of mostly remote learning, had triggered an increase in female employment.
