In brief: Production at Brazil’s Petrobras declines

* Brazil’s state-controlled oil company, Petrobras, has announced that its average daily oil and gas production in Q3 2022 reached 2.6m barrels per day (bpd), down 0.3% on Q2 values, and down 6.5% in year-on-year terms. Petrobras highlighted that 73% of its production came from the pre-salt deep-water reserves. The company’s sales of fuel and related products in the Brazilian market reached 1.79m bpd in Q3, up 4.7% on Q2 but down 7.6% in year-on-year terms. Petrobras noted that its sales increased in all fuel categories, but “especially in diesel and gasoline”.
