In brief: Brazil’s oil & gas output reaches new record in October

*Brazil’s Agência Nacional do Petróleo, Gás Natural, e Biocombustíveis (ANP), the federal oil and gas regulator, has announced that the country’s oil and natural gas production has soared to 4.18m barrels per day (bpd) in October, a new record, after a record was also registered in September (4.05m bpd). Oil and gas production in October 2022 increased 3.26% compared to the previous month and 15.89% compared to October 2021. Oil production averaged 3.24m bpd, up 3.05% on September 2022 and 16.78% in year-on-year terms. Natural gas production in October averaged 148.7m cubic metres per day, an increase of 1.98% on the previous month and 12.9% year-on-year.
