CHILE: Crime and violence worry population

Gabriel Boric took over the presidency of Chile earlier this year with an agenda that included seeing through the country’s constituent process (an unfinished and even more challenging item now that the population rejected a draft constitution in September) and reforming the pillars of its social system. Chileans’ main concern, however, is with crime and violence.
