MEXICO: Marriage equality receives boost

Same sex-marriage is now legal across all of Mexico’s 32 states. On 26 October, Tamaulipas state congress approved a reform to its civil code to permit marriage for all people over 18 years of age and not just between a man and a woman, becoming the final Mexican state to legally recognise same-sex marriage. The amendment follows similar rulings in October in the states of Guerrero, Tabasco, and Estado de México (Edomex).
