In brief: FDI to Brazil still on the rise

*Brazil’s central bank (BCB) has released new figures which show that foreign direct investment (FDI) to the country reached US$5.5bn in October, up more than 60% on the same month of 2021 (US$3.4bn). In the 12-month period up to October 2022, FDI to Brazil reached US$73.8bn, equivalent to 4.05% of GDP. The 12-month figure up to October is up from US$50bn at the same point in 2021.
