In brief: Inflation continues to climb in Colombia

* Colombia’s national statistics department (Dane) has published the latest consumer price index, showing that monthly inflation in November was 0.77%, bringing the annual rate to 12.53%. The steepest monthly price increases were in the categories of food and non-alcoholic drinks (+1.50%), transport (+1.35%), and restaurants and hotels (+1.18%). Inflation is now four times higher than the target rate of 3% set by the central bank (Banrep).
