In brief: Argentina’s trade surplus rises in November

*Argentina’s national statistics institute (Indec) has released new figures which show that the country’s exports totalled US$7.0bn in November, up 14.5% year-on-year, while imports totalled US$5.8bn, down 0.3% on November 2021. This leaves a trade surplus of US$1.3bn, up from US$424m in November 2021. In the first eleven months of 2022, Argentina’s exports totalled US$82.3bn, up 15.3% on the same period in 2021, while imports grew 34.3% to total US$76.5bn, leaving a trade surplus of US$5.8bn, down from US$14.4bn in the first eleven months of 2021.
