* Bolivia’s Hydrocarbons & Energy Minister Franklin Molina has announced the completion of tests at a lithium carbonate production plant on the Uyuni salt flats in the southern department of Potosí, which is now ready to be inaugurated. The plant, which will be operated by the state lithium company Yacimientos de Litio Bolivianos (YLB), has a maximum productive capacity of 15,000 tonnes of lithium carbonate per year, although it is expected to begin by operating at 20% of capacity before ramping up to 100% by 2024.
