PANAMA/COLOMBIA: Clan del Golfo earning millions from people trafficking

On 3 April the US-based NGO Human Rights Watch (HRW) published a report stating that over half a million migrants crossed the Darién Gap between Colombia and Panama last year, generating around US$68m in revenue for Colombia’s largest drug trafficking organisation (DTO), the Clan del Golfo.
