HONDURAS: Zelaya under attack

In a press conference on 7 November minority party Partido Innovación y Unidad-Social Demócrata (PINU-SD) accused President Manuel Zelaya of having dragged the country into "governmental chaos". The leader of the PINU-SD, Jorge Aguilar, urged Hondurans to "organise themselves to protect and defend the State of Honduras against the incompetence and irresponsibility of Manuel Zelaya's government." His words echoed those of the judiciary, which accused the Zelaya administration of "negligence, incompetence and indifference" in the wake of the assassination of Judge Alba Leticia Bueso earlier this year.
