REGION: Report highlights importance of remittances
The International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD) and the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) issued a study on the importance of remittances ahead of the International Forum on Remittances 2007, which was held on 18-19 October at the IDB's conference centre in Washington DC.
The study, Sending Money Home: Worldwide remittances to developing countries, highlighted in particular how important remittances are to the Caribbean countries.
