COLOMBIA: Uribe tries to push Farc into a corner

The government of President Alvaro Uribe appears intent on forcing the Farc guerrillas into a corner over the matter of a 'humanitarian' exchange of prisoners, by issuing more pardons for imprisoned guerrillas and suggesting publicly that the 'terrorist' label might be removed from the guerrillas of the Ejército de Liberación Nacional (ELN), if they were to release the people they are holding hostage.
