Andean presidents revive the CAN

Like a zombie in a Hollywood film, the Andean community of nations (CAN) is being regularly revived by Andean leaders, even before it has been officially pronounced dead. The latest announcement of a revival (or re-launch as it has been called several times) came on 8 November as the presidents of the four CAN member states - Juan Manuel Santos (Colombia), Rafael Correa (Ecuador), Evo Morales (Bolivia) and Ollanta Humala (Peru) - held the first CAN heads of state summit in three years in Bogotá, Colombia.
