Another win for the PRI
Fausto Vallejo’s election on a ticket for the Partido Revolucionario Institucional (PRI) as the next governor of Michoacán surprised political commentators and opinion pollsters alike. The final opinion polls published in the state had put President Felipe Calderón’s sister, Luisa María, of the Partido Acción Nacional (PAN), comfortably ahead.
