HONDURAS: Making up with Brazil

President Porfirio Lobo’s trip to Brazil on 27 January, which happened to be the second anniversary of his investiture in 2010, never materialised (reportedly due to scheduling difficulties). However his foreign minister, Arturo Corrales, was instead dispatched to Brasília along with a large ministerial and commercial delegation on 6-9 February. It was the first official trip by a Honduran government delegation to Brazil since the government led by Manuel Zelaya was ousted in a coup d’etat in June 2009.
