BRAZIL: The Evangelicals pull rank

The Parliamentary Evangelical Front has declared a truce after a major row with the government in the past week, but only after President Dilma Rousseff sent down a message that she stood by her 2010 election campaign pledge not to touch the existing legislation on abortion or initiate any moves to legalise gay marriage.
