VENEZUELA: Triumphant Capriles comes under heavy fire
A fascist bourgeois Zionist homosexual imperialist traitor. To be the victim of such a torrent of defamatory criticism - some of it from senior members of the government and some from the state media - was perhaps the greatest achievement of Henrique Capriles Radonski, who won the primary elections for the opposition coalition Mesa de Unidad Democrática (MUD) on 12 February for the right to challenge President Hugo Chávez for the main prize on 7 October. It is a clear sign that the government is rattled; that the opposition, for so long rudderless and disunited, will be a force to be reckoned with under Capriles.
