Wal-Mart case casts a long shadow

Recent allegations that the US retail giant, Wal-Mart Inc. paid bribes in order to quickly expand its presence in Mexico, where it is now the country’s largest private employer, have raised a lot of questions and resulted in official federal-level investigations  in both the US and Mexico. The growing scandal, which implicates Mexican government officials and top executives from the US firm, has the potential to severely damage Mexico-US business relations.
