VENEZUELA | Prices back on the rise. Venezuela’s central bank (BCV) reported on 5 June that the country’s national consumer price index (INPC) increased by 1.6% in May bucking the downward trend that had been observed since the beginning of the year. According to the BCV the figure is lower than the 2.5% registered in May last year, but it is significantly higher than the rate of increase observed last month.
