Development: On 18 September President Juan Manuel Santos of Colombia announced that in cooperation with Venezuelan security forces, “the British intelligence service, the MI6, and also with the very effective cooperation of the intelligence agencies of the United States, especially the [Central Intelligence Agency] CIA”, ‘El loco’ Barrera (Daniel Barrera Barrera) had been captured in San Cristóbal, a town in the Venezuelan border state of Táchira.
