Development: On 4 April Canadian mining company, Infinito Gold Ltd., threatened to sue the Costa Rican State for more than US$1bn if its subsidiary, Industrias Infinito SA (IISA), is not allowed to resume operations at the open-pit gold mine of Las Crucitas in San Carlos, near the border with Nicaragua, within the next six months.
