GUATEMALA | Firming up ties with Mexico. Mexico’s President Enrique Peña Nieto has paid his first official state visit to Guatemala City where he met his Guatemalan peer Otto Pérez Molina. During Peña Nieto’s visit, which took place on 31 May, the two leaders, who both declare boosting bilateral ties to be a priority, agreed to establish four working groups to monitor customs infrastructure & border areas; energy; social programmes and security.
