VENEZUELA-COLOMBIA: Rhetoric reined in…for now

If the reaction of the entire Venezuelan government to the decision by Colombia’s President Juan Manuel Santos to receive the defeated presidential candidate Henrique Capriles Radonski in Bogotá was, at best, oversensitive, the announcement by Santos just days later that Colombia was deepening cooperation with the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (Nato) with a view to joining, was, at best, insensitive.
