‘El Chapo’ is arrested but what do with him poses unexpected challenges

After hunting him for over a decade, Mexican security forces have once again caught up with Joaquín ‘El Chapo’ Guzmán Loera, leader of the Sinaloa/Pacífico drug trafficking organisation (DTO). This is the biggest blow to drug trafficking in Mexico in decades, earning the government led by President Enrique Peña Nieto plaudits both at home and abroad, but with both Mexico and the US equally keen to put Guzmán on trial, there are some pointed questions about what exactly the Mexican authorities now intend to do with him.
