Uruguay’s ruling FA succumbs to trade union pressure
Development: On 17 March the ruling left-wing Frente Amplio (FA) coalition in the senate caved in to trade union pressure and agreed to approve an employer criminal responsibility bill without modifying the controversial version which was approved by the lower chamber of congress last year.
