HONDURAS: Hernández celebrates fall in homicides
President Juan Orlando Hernández reported on 4 August that the number of homicides in the first half of the year fell by 600 to 2,893, a decline of 17%, on the same period in 2013. Hernández, who took office on 27 January, said it was “the obligation of this generation to hand to our children a peaceful Honduras”.
