President Rafael Correa is engaged in another furious war of words with Ecuador’s private media over what he maintains is the misrepresentation of the state of Ecuador’s economy, in particular its external debt levels, and deliberate misreporting of a study into the efficiency of national civil services across Latin America in which Ecuador appears as a laggard.
