DIPLOMACY: Bachelet in China
In November President Michelle Bachelet went to Beijing to attend the XXII Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (Apec) summit. On the sidelines of the summit she also sought to boost trade and investment – following on the heels of her trade jaunt to Europe in October [RBS-14-11]. Bachelet declared herself “very hopeful” as to new investment prospects following the China visit.
