POLITICS & JUSTICE: With the peace talks back on track, attention re-focuses on judicial reform

The release of the Colombian army general, Rubén Darío Alzate, following his brief abduction by guerrillas from the Fuerzas Armadas Revolucionarias de Colombia (Farc) [RA-14-11] allowed the peace talks between the Farc and the government led by President Juan Manuel Santos to get back on track, after the process faced its biggest crisis since it was launched in Havana, Cuba, in 2012.
