CHILE | Violence in Araucanía. Since the last week of January two major arson attacks took place in different parts of the Araucanía region. Both of them bore the signs of politically motivated incidents, but no organisation has claimed authorship. The first was in a parking lot in Teodoro Schmidt, in Cautín: three cars, and ambulance, a minibus and a mobile clinic were torched. The Carabineros investigating the incident said no leaflets of Mapuche or anarchists groups were found.
