Turnaround opportunity for Peña Nieto?

Two recent events could provide a way for the government of President Enrique Peña Nieto to climb out of the crisis of credibility that has bedevilled it since the last quarter of 2014. They are the capture of Servando ‘La Tuta’ Gómez Martínez, the leader of Los Caballeros Templarios (LCT), the notorious drug cartel from Michoacán, and the appointment of a new attorney general, Arely Gómez González. But it is not certain that the administration will be able to capitalise on this opportunity.
