Spain back in the region

Last month Spain’s prime minister, Mariano Rajoy, paid a visit to Guatemala which currently holds the pro-tempore presidency of the Central America integration system (Sica), where he attended a Spain-Sica meeting and held bilateral meetings with President Otto Pérez Molina and other government officials. Further indicative of Spain’s continued interest in the sub-region, last month its Secretary General of International Cooperation, Gonzalo Robles, paid a visit to Nicaragua.
