Development: On 14 July Paraguay’s interior minister, Francisco de Vargas, confirmed that authorities believe that the insurgent Ejército del Pueblo Paraguayo (EPP) guerrilla group was behind a recent armed attack which left two non-commissioned (NCOs) police officers dead.
