In January-May in the country as a whole, 6,698 cases of intentional homicide were reported by the national public security system (SNSP) ― 2.7% fewer than in the same period of 2014. Given the diversity of security situations across the country’s 32 federal entities (the 31 states and the federal district, DF) this says very little.
