MEXICO | Insider involvement in fuel theft. The number of employees and former employees of the state oil company Pemex involved in the theft of fuel, mainly by tapping into pipelines, has been increasing steadily over the past four years, according to information disclosed by Pemex to the newspaper 24 Horas under freedom of information legislation: five in 2011, 11 in 2012, 15 in 2013 and 33 in 2014 ― 64 in all. Of these, 33 have been arrested and charged.
