JAMAICA | Murder trend reversed. The number of murders in Jamaica this year up to 24 August rose to 775, up 20.5% on the same period of 2014, according to figures ‘obtained’ by the newspaper The Gleaner. This is equivalent to 77% of the total for the whole of last year. The rise come after a fall of 16% recorded by the Jamaica Constabulary Force (JCF) between 2013 and 2014.
